Final Fantasy VII Remake (and all the other FF) fans, rejoice!
For a limited time (Feb 8th ~ Apr 24th), the recently renewed Square Enix Cafe in Akihabara is having a Final Fantasy VII Remake collaboration. Featuring a limited edition menu and full FFVIIR decoration, this event will transport you straight to Midgar.
Join Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Barrett and Sephiroth and grab a bite from the FFVII Remake inspired menu while enjoying the newest trailer on the screens and the impressively decorated walls.
The new Final Fantasy VII Remake menu comes in two parts with new dishes joining the previous on March 18th. Aside from the new dishes, the regular bar food of Square Enix cafe is still available!
We had french fries (not pictured-too hungry) and fried shrimp to share (both great although not so healthy but yolo); then we ordered two risotto ( peep the description: A member of the Turks section of the General Affairs Department of the Shinra Company. One mature dish using semi-dried tomatoes and basil. ) and finally, a Moogle anman. Yes, I had a hard time eating that cute face.
We paid a bit over 3000¥ plus the already paid 2000 ¥ of the ticket reservation for two people.
Your ticket grants you a drink of your choice, and every drink you order will get you a limited edition FFVII coaster. On top of that, for every 1000 ¥ you spend, you will get a good quality FFVIIR print/place mat.
HOW TO RESERVE
Square Enix Cafe works with a strict reservation system which has been recently changed: now you need to download and register in a Japan-only app to be able to do a reservation. Here’s the link to the app.
Once you have an account and the app, which is Japanese only unfortunately, you can easily make a reservation for both Square Enix Cafes (Tokyo and Osaka).
You will have to show your tickets from the app while queuing to enter so have them handy!
There are six available time slots of 90 minutes per day. Earliest is 9:00am, latest is 19:00.
There’s also a store with limited edition FFVIIR items, including some new and exclusive things:
I love coming to Square Enix Cafe and I’m excited to come back again soon for the second half of the Final Fantasy VII Remake menu! Stay tuned.
