The NEW Octopath Travaler Collaboration at Square Enix Cafe Akihabara

Welcome to the Octopath Travaler Collaboration at Square Enix Cafe!!

As it previously happened with other Square Enix hits like Nier: Automata and Final Fantasy, time has come for the Octopath Travaler Collaboration at Square Enix Cafe!

Octopath Traveler is a Nintendo Switch game. It’s a retro style RPG that has received rave reviews all over the world. I just got a Switch and it’s literally the only game I’ve bought so far. I’m 12 hours deep in it and it still has so many more ahead, I feel like I just started unraveling the mysteries. I definitely recommend it if you like RPG.

The collaboration, as usual, brings a new, limited edition Octopath Traveler menu and store. The cafe itself it’s decorated with Octopath Traveler motifs, and there even is some exclusive memorabilia exhibited there.

Square Enix Cafe works with an in advance reservation system. If there are available seats you can get in without reservation but it hardly ever happens so I encourage you to get your tickets in advance. Reservation is not free but it grants you a free drink -wine and beer included-.

This is what we had! For a light lunch for two people, we ordered: Tako rice, which was spicy and quite delicious! Takoyaki, with extra cheese everywhere (so fat, so good) and fried crispy shrimp. The beers were free, and we were about to order dessert but we were so full! We’re really not used to fried/heavy dishes.

We spent 1300¥ on the tickets and then 2200¥ on the food.

We didn’t buy anything from the store, but they were selling postcards, stickers, bags and other things with prices ranging from 1000¥ to 3000¥ aprox.

I really enjoyed the Octopath Travaler Collaboration at Square Enix Cafe! The food was great and Akihabara is always fun.
